Manicurist sells house and car to build school in native village


Lidia Schaefer returned to her native village in Ethopia and was troubled by what she saw. Children were walking three hours each way to attend classes held not in a school but under a tree. Schaefer knew she had to act when one of the children was killed by a hyena. She worked very hard fundraising and putting a portion of her own wages to the school.
